Blueberries – Healthy Weight Loss

Blueberries help with diarrhea and constipation. The Rutgers Blueberry Research Center found that blueberries also contain the same compound as cranberries. Blueberries can help prevent urinary tract infections.

Researchers say the results suggest that antioxidant-rich blueberries may change how the body stores and processes glucose or sugar for energy, thereby reducing the risk of both heart disease and diabetes. A diet high in blueberries can improve glucose control and insulin sensitivity.

It is blueberry season in the northeast. You can add them to salads, cereals, yogurt, and smoothies, eat them plan, or eat them with other fruits.

How about pies and jams? How about a sandwich of almond butter and blueberry jam on whole wheat bread…. Hmmm!
